"Questions for the Invisible Onlooker"

An introspective poem concerning the urge to judge without knowing the full story behind a situation. Take what you want and need from it.

-Notes of All Trades

Could you stamp, staining
A natural need to revive
A limitless list
Of flaws-
Of things-
That deprive-
Of a dignity?

Could you find yourself
A secure onlooker,

Peering
Through the
Smeared glass,
The one
That reveals the
Awful scene of mishap?

Could you shout in understanding,
Without shaking 'wake, the nest
Of young, yet
Aged wounds-
Those that could do
Without more ache?

Could you ever find

Your vision
Where all falls normal,
Flawless
To you?
